What is the Cash for Caulker program all about?

The Cash for Caulker program brings in smiles and happiness to the home owners, the constructions workers and even the government. The main idea behind the program is to increase the energy efficiency of all the homes in the country, reduce energy expenses, provide jobs to all those who have lost one and to revive the economy which was brought down during the recent recession.

The Cash for Caulker program, which is better known as Home Star Energy Retrofit act aims to provide up to $ 6 billions in the form of rebates to all the home owners in the United States who make their homes energy efficient. This means that each home in America will get around three thousand dollars for making their homes energy efficient by making some changes by replacing doors, windows, changing the cooling and heating systems and making installation improvements.

For the purchase of air ceiling and insulation products, rebates of up to two hundred and fifty dollars will be given to the home owner in the form of rebates and up to eight thousand dollars will be given to home owners who undertake a comprehensive home energy audit and reduce their energy consumption by 20%. It is calculated that with the Cash for Caulker program, up to five hundred dollars every year would be saved in energy expenses by every home in the United States.
